An employee with Texas Child Protective Services has been booted from the agency after a video surfaced revealing her telling a hungry 14-year-old girl who was in foster care to become a prostitute.
This is beyond deplorable. It’s beyond disgusting. There aren’t enough words in the English language to describe how awful saying something like this to a young girl is, how demoralizing. They are telling her the only way she can make it, the sole means of making money for herself, of being able to have something to eat, is to sell her body.
Just imagine hearing that as a child. What does that do to a kid’s mind?
I can’t even imagine.
“If you gonna be a ho – be a real ho,” the worker went on to tell the teenage girl, who recorded the interaction on her cell phone.

The employee continued by stating she’d made money herself by being a prostitute.
“Because the worker had been telling her this is how you can make money, I used to do this, and you could do the same thing,” the girl’s mother, Keisha Bazley, went on to tell Fox 26. “When I saw the video with the lady, like my soul left my body.”
Here’s more from Just the News:
Family law attorney Mike Schneider said Bazley is a mother of nine who called the agency because her teenage daughter has “some behavioral problems.”
The Texas agency responded to Fox 26, stating that the person in the video was dismissed Aug. 10. It was unclear Thursday when the incident occurred.
“The safety and appropriateness with which children in care must be treated is our paramount concern. Nothing less will be tolerated,” agency spokesperson Melissa Lanford said.
It’s just how amazing to me that someone would think this was an appropriate response to a child who is clearly suffering. Actually encouraging a person to be a prostitute, and being serious about it, is bottom of the barrel when it comes to humanity.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, some dirtbag somewhere manages to find a way to take things to a whole new low.
