RUH-ROE: Nancy Pelosi’s Husband Just Got Arrested…No, Really

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband just got arrested in California, and you’ll never guess what for.

Actually, if you are familiar with the habits of everyone’s favorite tipsy octogenarian congresswoman, you probably won’t be terribly surprised.

“The House Speaker’s spouse was arrested just before midnight Saturday night in Napa County, and then booked hours later into jail on two counts — driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher … both misdemeanors,” TMZ reported on Sunday.

“The arrest info here lines up with what we know about Paul publicly, especially his birthday — listed as April 15, 1940. Indeed, the guy’s 82 years old.”

I mean, to be fair, can you blame him?

If you’re familiar with the stock trading habits of Paul Pelosi, however, you might be annoyed that he’s not getting arrested for something a bit more significant.

The Daily Wire noted that “The Pelosis bought millions of dollars worth of call options for stocks just days after [Speaker Pelosi] defended members of Congress and their spouses being able to buy stocks after a report alleged that dozens had violated the STOCK Act.”

When pressed as to why members of Congress and their spouses should not be banned from trading stock, Pelosi replied, “Because this is a free market and people – we are a free market economy, they should be able to participate in that,” clearly being temporarily stricken with a healthy sense of individual liberty and free market economy.

    Funny how that works.

    Now do guns, Madame Speaker.

Pelosi has not yet addressed her husband’s arrest, but dare we say we can hardly expect the reasonable outcry that one should expect from the House Speaker’s spouse getting arrested for a DUI.

He’s been getting away with much worse this whole time, why would the establishment sniff at a little innocent reckless endangerment on the roads of California?
