Rep. James Comer, a Kentucky Republican, made an accusation against the Biden family in an interview with Newsmax on Friday saying they were obstructing efforts obtain financial documents from the president’s son.
Comer’s remarks were stated during an appearance on the “John Bachman Now” program.
According to Newsmax, Hunter Biden has missed a deadline to hand over documents pertaining to his many shady business dealings to the House Oversight Committee. Comer is the chairman for that committee.
“We were hopeful that the Bidens might cooperate with us. But obviously we’re not surprised that they continue to obstruct and deny, because it’s going to be hard to defend a lot of the stuff that they’ve done,” Comer went on to say during the interview.
“So we believe the information is coming in at a good pace. But we’ve set everything up to where at some point we’ll be able to subpoena the Bidens for specific information, because to win a subpoena in court you have to prove that you’ve sincerely tried to get evidence for a long time. And that’s what we’ve been doing with the Biden family, and that’s what we’ll continue to do,” Comer continued.

This isn’t shocking at all. Biden worked to prevent the very report that first revealed the laptop which contained information on these business dealings from seeing the light of day when the New York Post published the piece just days before the 2020 presidential election. And it’s not just because he’s trying to protect his son either. His own name is attached to this mess as well. If Hunter goes down, he’s probably going down too.
